To get an even better knowledge of the HPCVD deposition and doping approach, we carried out synchrotron micro-X-ray fluorescence (XRF) mapping experiments to quantitatively map the distribution of changeover steel dopants in HPCVD produced Fe2+:ZnSe optical fibers. Micro-XRF can be a helpful technique due to its higher sensitivity and sub-micron sp
